Hard drive crashed?

    Question

  • I have a "Acer Aspire AST160-UA351H w/ 2g memory" I installed windows 7 and my desktop has been working fine. Tonight when I turned my computer on it had a problem with the HD and kept saying "drive error please use ctl+alt+del to restart" after several tries, I decided to use the W7 reboot disk, still no help and trying to reinstall W7 was a bust as well. My question is...If I decide to buy a new drive, can I install W7 on my new drive since my old drive died? and still have a legal copy?
