CRM 2011: Using lookups with dialogs

  Hi all,

  I have a missunderstanding in using lookups with dialogs !!

  When selecting response type as lookup there is two drop down list appears to select values from: reference entity and reference field

  Could anybody please help me differentiate them, I have found that when runing the dialog it lookup on the entity with the same type of the field selected in the reference field drop down list, and this makes me wonder what is the need of the reference entity drop down list ??!?!

  Also I have another request is there any way to return the results of a query crm data step in the form of a lookup ?

  Any help with any of my requests will be appreciated
