  • Question

  • I tried the MS Mobile CRM application on the iPhone but it's not very good. The biggest issue is that activities incl. appointments and scheduled phone calls don't transfer over to Outlook. I would also like an easier way to add and review notes. For instance, to see notes I first need to go to notes and then click on each subject to see the actual note. Anyways, synchronization with Outlook is the biggest hurdle. Are there any good alternatives, ideally free or for a low price and/or that I only need to pay for the users actually using it rather than all users. Btw, we need to support iPhone's and Android phones and we use CRM 2011 on-premise but could upgrade to 2013 if required (though I prefer not to).

  • Hi hfaun

I would upgrade to CRM 2013 if I was you.

Your requirements sounds alot more in sync with CRM 2013, than CRM 2011.

To adress your first issue. The appointments and scheduled phone calls dont transfer over to Outlook.. The reason for this is that in CRM 2011, the only way to keep those two in sync.. is through the Outlook client.

This is STILL an issue for phonecalls in 2013, but the appointment part has been solved as the server side sync allows for also sending and syncing appointments.

To adress your second issue regarding reading notes etc, the new CRM 2013 mobile app for iphone, ipad, Win8 etc... allows for a much better UI.

So upgrade and it will fix most of your issues.

There are no real good work arounds for CRM 2013. No 3'rd party app that I know of solves the issues you described.
