Allocate-on-flush RRS feed

  • Hello all,
    i m not getting any information about implementation of 'allocate-on-flush' in windows OSs.
    so, if any of u know anything abt it plz help me.........

  • allocate-on-flush I beleive is simply a generic term used for filesystems using delayed allocation algorithms used in XFS, etc. I am not sure of the exact mechanisms but its simply grouping files and processing them all at once so that the CPU needn't be engaged all the time.

    i have one more question. wht are the advantages and  disadvantges of this feature?

    so, is it necessary? i think it is already implemented in ZFS,XFS etc. Am i write?
