Windows 7 non-genuine build 7601 RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

    Summary

I've read plenty of threads on this issue but haven't seen one answering my problem. I'm unable to get Diagnostic data because the OS logs off automatically after a minute and it doesn't give access to anything. Using Windows 7 Ultimate which was installed after a complete format - the original system had Vista Home Premium. The person who did the format and installation used a key from the internet that was a pirate copy and he doesn't have the number or a CD.

    Details

At start-up a Windows Activation window pops-up saying "counterfeit copy of windows" and "error 0coo4f200. After clicking either "get genuine now" "ask me later" or 'cancel' the OS starts up.

Everything starts up as normal but with a black screen and 7601 bottom right corner. About ten seconds after start-up the C: prompt black window pops up titled 'C:\Users\riz\appdata\roaming\microsoft\svchost.exe'. Inside the screen a bunch of lines scroll down quickly; I can't make out the content. The window closes after about five seconds.

After a minute if I don't click anything it logs off automatically or if I click control panel, my computer, Mozilla/Explorer or anything it logs off after a few seconds. It says "logging off" then goes to the screen with the user icon. After logging in again the OS starts-up normally but after a minute logs off automatically.

I'm due for an upgrade of my HPG70 so just want to get the 'My Library' files on C drive and copy to a new laptop. I'm not great with these things including how to format, boot and install and may get someone to do this part but I want to find out what the correct process is. My issues are:

    1. getting access to the C drive so can copy files to an external drive.

    2. Do I have to purchase Windows 7 Ultimate CD or can it be Windows 8 which I could use for the new laptop.

    kind regards,

    Riz

  • You are using an OEM SLP copy of Windows 7 on a computer built before Windows 7 released to manufacturers (July 24, 2009).

    Windows License Type: OEM SLP

    <Date>20090623000000.000000+000</Date> (June 6, 2009)

This is only possible with a pirated copy.

    The product key

    Windows Product Key: *****-*****-YG69F-9M66D-PMJBM

is the blacklisted Lenovo key that was leaked out of China.  It was blocked by Microsoft and never used on computers sold to the public.

You need to restore the original copy of Windows that came with this computer or purchase a genuine copy of Windows 7.

  • The installation is counterfeit.

The Key is the infamous Lenovo Stolen Key - which was never legally used on any machine.

The SLIC Table is from an HP computer  - but yours was built before the release of Windows 7 and so cannot possibly have such a SLIC table.

You need to reformat and reinstall using legitimate media and key - If you have the HP Recovery disks (or the partition still works) use that, or order a set of disks from HP.

If you really want Windows 7, then purchase an Upgrade pack from a reputable store, and use the double-install method for a clean install, after reformatting the drive.

  • This sounds lile you have a severe malware infection - can you successfully boot to Safe Mode with Networking?

If so, do so, and download and install  Malwarebytes Anti-malware (free version) from  http://www.malwarebytes.org/products/malwarebytes_free/ - UNtick 'Enable free trial of MBAM PRO' at the end of the installation -  and update it, then run a full scan  in your main account, and Quick scans in any other user accounts.

    Delete everything it finds

Then reboot to Normal mode, and see what happens.

  • Thanks Noel,

Safe Mode with Networking worked and am using my laptop now. I'm paranoid about losing files so before running the Malware I'm copying all my files. In the meantime here is the report.
