I have ran the diagnostic report for Wndows Genuine Advantage and below is the report obtained. I have been having endless problems updating Vista and other MS products with numerous error codes. Tried to run the One Care Live scanner and then received the 0x0c600c03 error, which lead me here.

You are facing issue with live one care and no issue with the activation or validation. Contact live one care support of microsoft.Tuesday, September 8, 2009 6:34 AM

Live one care support is a payable service, is this the only recommended source of support for my issues with Vista and updates.
Surely Microsoft can resolve the issues without an additional payment. When I go to Vista support it always states that I have a problem with my product ID, which is incorrect as per my diagonisitic test posted earlier, which clear states that I have a genuine and valid product.
My understanding of the matter, is that these issues are all linked. The fact that I cannot update my vista, also relates to the prodcut id.Tuesday, September 8, 2009 10:52 AM -
Sorry to keep you bouncing around. Your post was moved to the OneCare forum because you mentioned the OneCare scanner. I believe that you are referring to the free online scanner. Support for OneCare subscribers, the paid service, is free. The free scanner has its own forums here, where I cannot move your thread to.

Although you have attempted to use the Safety Scanner and received the 0x0c600c03 error, the main problem you're having concerns Microsoft Updates to your Vista system. Because this involves Security Updates you are automatically qualified for no-charge telephone/chat/email Microsoft Security Support at 1-866-PCSafety (1-866-727-2338), if in North America. Being unable to run the Safety Scanner due to error 0x0C600C03 would also qualify you for that support. For other regions see this link:

Additionally, you might want to review these articles for relevance(?) due to error Spsys.log Content: 0x80070002 in your Diagnostic report:
