WHS fails to share with ANY device

Question
-
When I went to bed last night, WHS was normal. This morning, every device fails to see the WHS shares and my two computers report my passwords do not match; updated to use computer passwords. Appears to accept those passwords but when I relog that computer, get the same message. I CAN use RDP from any computer.
I checked the WHS clock and the time is correct ; same with BIOS clock. Two of my devices are a very recent TV and an ancient Audiotron; which both fail to see the shares also. The WHS sees my NAS which I use to back up the files not duplicated. I rebooted all systems (WHS, Win 7 and XP). I can also map to the shares; but this does not help with media devices.
Any ideas?
Regards,
Dewey

OK, after 5 hours it seems to have gone back to normal. I have no idea what happened but now all devices have access.
I have worked with computers since CPM and PDP 8s. I HATE these mysteries; if anyone has an explanation I would like to know.
Thanks and regards,
Dewey

Do you see anything in your server event logs?
I'm not on the WHS team, I just post a lot. :)Wednesday, June 23, 2010 12:07 PMModerator -
Nothing terrible in the last day or so. Just some errors about fax services. now one thing I DID do (just remembered) is I was getting messages about c drive being full. So I ran the disk cleaner and compressed 'old files" as well. Funny, that only freed a couple gigs but when I look now I have 13 gigs free. The only thin extra I have installed is Paragon; no add ins or such.
On my xp box I at least now am getting asked for credentials; but it will take any of them. I am beginning to think it is related to user authentication; but it will not even allow guests. Don't forget, I am reminded on all computers to sync the passwords and even when I change the PW in WHS console, nothing changes. Also, I just tried to change the PW again form the XP. This time I get a "user locked out" notice.
Thanks and regards,
Dewey
