Errors when creating an appointment after CRM 3.0 > 4.0 Upgrade RRS feed

  • Hi,

    We have recently upgraded from CRM 3.0 to CRM 4.0 (Roll up Pack 5) and everything seems to be working as it should except for one element, Appointments. When creating a new appointment the details are entered as normal, then Save & Close is clicked, at this point the following error is generated;

    "the requested record was not found or you do not have sufficient permission to view it"

    You then proceed to click Ok a 'Scheduling Alerts' dialog is shown displaying the following error;

    "General failure in scheduling engine."

    At this point 'Ignore & Save' is clicked and the appointment is then created successfully.

    We have tried various users and roles, the issue affects all of them.

    Any help would be appreciated.

  • You should take a trace with the tool CrmDiagTool (http://blogs.msdn.com/benlec)

    You error sounds like one that should have been corrected with the last rollup (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/956129)

    Could you try to install rollup 6 or 7 ?

  • Thanks for the suggestion. I have followed the advice in the article without luck, the accounts pair up fine without any blanks. I have however discovered one corrupt account which may be contributing to the problem.

  • Hi Al,

    please enable the tracing on the crm server. This error message also occures if the user which creates the appointment has insufficient rights.
