Question
-
I am operating a GATEWAY FX 6803-35. Computer came with Windows 7 Home Premium OA installed. Hologram label attached. I have operated computer for almost two-years, having performed updates without a problem, until this past month.
Following your request in another thread I have run MGAD Tool and copied results.

I was afraid of that.
See if this works...
Open an Elevated Command Prompt, and run the following commands
sc config spldr start= boot
sc start spldr
Post teh results, and reboot, and post another MGADiag report.

Please run the following commands, and post the results.
REG QUERY HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\services\spldr /S
REG QUERY HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Enum\Root\LEGACY_SPLDR /SREG QUERY HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Enum\Root\Legacy_SLSVC
REG QUERY HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Enum\Root\Legacy_SPPSVC
They may show something
Here are some instructions to make life easier :)
1) To open an Elevated Command Prompt Window (the ECP window), click on Start, All Programs, Accessories – then right-click on Command Prompt, and select Run as Administrator. Accept the UAC prompt.
2) To run the commands easier, highlight the block of commands, and right-click on the highlight – select Copy. In the CP Window, click on the black/white icon at top left – select Paste. The commands will run but may not complete the last command, so hit the Enter Key once.
3) To copy the results... click on the Black/White icon in the top left, and select Edit... 'Select All', and hit the Enter key - then use Ctrl+V or r-click+Paste to paste it into your response.

I navigated to the "Non-Plug and Play Drivers" Following your steps to "start" I received a message telling me the drive is not enabled. I returned to the General Tab and clicked on "Enable Device" and I received the message "Security Processor Loader Driver - Windows was not able to enable this device". The General Screen shows on finishing the process "This device is disabled. (Code 22)
