  • Hello have you re-installed windows? 

    Try updating Internet Explorer. Windows update uses the latest version of that browser to search for updates...

  • Did you not notice that this thread is FIVE YEARS OLD?

    ...and Windows XP will happily use IE6 RTM to install updates - it has to!
