Unable to access documents RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

Roll-up 6.0 is the last roll-up that we installed on our server and after that when ever we install any new roll-up (7 - 12) although they are installed correctly but after that we are unable to access our documents in the Notes tab of our contacts.

We have changed the heading of the Notes tab to Documents. Can this be the issue?

    Thanks in advance

  • Could be. You should open a ticket on this if you can't uninstall the add-on to see if that is causing the issue.

  • Hi Zahid,

What does it mean that you can't access your documents? Can't you see the 'Notes' tab? Or does it mean that you can't open specific documents?

  • I don't think it is the issue [changing name].

Just wanted to give a quick overview of the new rollup 7, this rollup breaks the Download Attachment example in the SDK.  The download.aspx URL now requires a security token, but there is no documentation of how to obtain a token.

So BEWARE if you have any custom code that automatically downloads attachments.  IT WILL NOT WORK WITH THIS ROLLUP!!

    Hope this helps.

  • Hi,

Yes we are using some custom code in that tab to upload files and attach them to the contacts like there financial documents etc.

So what should we do next? We really need to put the new rollups without breaking anything.

    Regards

  • are you using any plugin for the attachments.

if not just try to write a plugin code and register it in the retheive for the annotaion entity and see what is the value does it contain in the enity.

else check the attachment value if any in the db also.

  • Hi,

Yes we are using a 3rd party ad-on for uploading the documents against a contact. Do you believe this is causing the issue.

    Thanks
