Hi ,

I found project portfolio power bi template in project online.

How can i use the same template project server on premise .

I installed powerbi report server . Please guide me how power bi will work in project server on premise.

Hello,

It should work fine, open the Power BI Project Online template in Power BI Desktop and add the PWA URL in the parameter and check it all works. There could be some differences in the OData reporting API so it might need tweaking.

What template are you using? This one? https://github.com/OfficeDev/Project-Power-BI-Templates/blob/master/Project%20Online/Microsoft%20Project%20Online%20Power%20BI%20Content%20Pack.pbit

It should just prompt for PWA Site URL and PWA Site Language.

Hi Paul ,

I tried to open the template its asking the cds url.

I given PWA url but its giving error that your are not sign in .

Data is not loading.

Hi Paul ,

Thank you for your prompt reply.

The wrong template I used before . I tried to use the template which you given its working fine.

But some error is showing is like below. Data not showing in any page.

The column 'ProjectLastPublishedDate' of the table wasn't found.
Details:
ProjectLastPublishedDate

Hello,

This probably an example of where there are different properties / fields in the Project Online Reporting API compared with the Project Server on-premises Reporting API. You will need to edit the query in Power BI Power Query to resolve these issues.
