I am wanting to use SteadyState to test software so that I can contain any problems that might arise and also to uninstall it completely when I am done.
Some software requires a reboot to complete installation. Can SS do the reboot that the software requires without resetting the virtual environment?
Hi, you can try setting WDP to Retain changes temporarily or Retain all changes permanently based on your need. You can also try Virtual PC or Hyper-V function (included in Windows Server 2008 which needs hardware, CPU support) and their snapshot function.
Hope this helps!
