  • Question

  • Trying to install vail in virtual environment (virtualbox), inside a Win 7 host (64 bit)  and i get the following error:

(i have enabled virtualization in my bios)

    file: \windows\system32\boot\winload.exe

    status: 0xc000035a

info: attempting to load a 64-bit application, however this cpu is not compatible with 64-bit mode

    any help is appreciated

if its a bug, i might as well post in on vail's connect site - please let me know

  • Probably the right place to start is going to be the VirtualBox forums ; it sounds like something isn't correctly configured for running a 64 bit guest.
I'm not on the WHS team, I just post a lot. :)

  • Hi,

Windows 7 virtual mode ("XP mode") only supports 32-bit applications.

As the error implies, VAIL only runs in a 64-bit environment.
Unsupported, but you can try running VMWare (see this blog)
