Windows stop error during logon process (WinXP) RRS feed

  • Question

  • My laptop was crashing intermittently during the logon process, and, I could not load it successfully, even using safe mode.  It was not even loading on the boot PC, and, at one point I was suspecting it was hacked.

Your help would be appreciated in troubleshooting the error which occurred on a laptop powered by Windows XP SP3.  I wouldn't mind if you sent me a FREE upgrade to Windows 7 (or 8), should you find out that this is a bug from your end, because I regularly paid for the OEM licenses when I purchased the laptop.

C:\Windows\MEMORY.DMP is around 2Gb of size, and, I have not yet managed to find a suitable debugger tool for Windows XP.  Is it possible to transmit you the results in some other format?
