In Email Router the Load Data function is not returning Queues RRS feed

  • Question

  • MS CRM 2011

I am setting up a training environment using same solution as or Live and test boxes and same exchange server / credentials etc.

The Queues have all been set up with email addresses, approved and the incoiming and outgoing access types set to Email Router.

Email Router itself has been set up with Incoming and Outgoing profiles and correct Deployment for Training, all this is the same as our test environment which all works nicely.  The only exception being the use of the training service account instead of the test service account as its on a different server.

Yet, when I open Email Router on the Training server and click Load Data, it runs for a few seconds (with the little caterpillar and loading mesage ) and then stops but doesnt return any of the Queues.

    No error messages....

    Any ideas ?

P.S. The application itself works fine.

  • Stumbled across the problem eventually.

While the Queues were correctly set up with access types of Email Router, non of the users were (because they dont need to in our context).

I simply changed one of the user accounts to have an access type of Email Router and suddenly the queues appeared.

  • So the only difference is the account running Email Router serivce, one is trianing account and one is test account?

Please make sure that the training service account is added to the PrivUserGroup Security Group in Active Directory.

  • Hi,

Confirm the user account you are using to connect to CRM, has permissions to read queues.

  • Are the queues that you are expecting to see the default ones that appear encapsulated with <> and are created when you create a user or team?

If so, these don't appear in the email router even if you add an email address to them! You must create new queues with email addresses in order to get them to appear in the router.
