What Does This Sign Mean? RRS feed

• Question

• I have a picture with the circled-mark next to Windows Activation. http://img233.imageshack.us/i/wgan.png/
I wonder what that means? Does it mean my copy of Windows 7 is not genuine?

No - it means it's fine :)

If you want to check, go to manual validation at
- if it passes, you'll be offered MSE and IE9.
- if it fails, it'll be obvious, and you should post back with an MGADiag report....
To properly analyse and solve problems with Activation and Validation, we need to see a full copy of the report produced by the MGADiag tool (download and save to desktop - http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=52012 )
Once saved, run the tool.
Click on the Continue button, which will produce the report.
To copy the report to your response, click on the Copy button in the tool (ignore any error messages at this point), and then paste (using either r-click/Paste, or Ctrl+V ) into your response.

• just noticed from the picture you posted, the product id -221- is from a not for resale MSDN account. If you purchase this from an auction site such as ebay it may go non-genuine in the future.

see this

Please run the MGA diagnostic tool Noel pointed you to.
