how to remove duplicate files RRS feed

  • So, I have a lot of duplicate mp3, aac, and photo files.  What software works safely on WHS and XP?

  • I use ImageDupless to root put duplicate image files. It doesn't care about image size, file size, names, etc. It looks at the pics themselves and finds the dupes, then YOU can select which ones to remove or keep. Could be faster, but does a great job for me. I have used ImageDupe in XP, Vista and Win7, never on Home Server or Win8, butyou should be able to scan a directory and find the files that way. As far as music files, not a clue what to use for them.
