Windows Live OneCare 2.0 Released RRS feed

  • General discussion

  • Windows Live OneCare 2.0 has been released on 11/16/07 at about noon PST and is now available to subscribers at http://onecare.live.com

If you are a current beta tester, who has an active production subscription to OneCare, you can uninstall the beta and install the final at any time. You can activate the final with your subscription LiveID.

If you are running 1.6 as a trial user or a subscriber, you will be updated to 2.0 in the near future. It is recommended that you await the automatic download that will be staged to everyone in the coming days. Note that it will not be available to everyone at the same time via the update. If you absolutely *must* have 2.0, to upgrade, you will need to uninstall 1.6 and reinstall, which will bring you the 2.0 version. You will need to activate with your subscription LiveID, so make sure that you know that and your password before you uninstall 1.6.  Your subscriber LiveID can be found in 1.6 by opening OneCare and clicking Help/About. You can also confirm your subscription status by logging in at http://billing.microsoft.com to see your OneCare subscription.
