    is there a way to set syncToy to auto sync whenever a certain USB drive is connected?

    I am sorry, SyncToy does not have such feature.

    You can try to find around if windows "Task Scheduler" support such event trigger, sorry for I am not familiar with this area, could not give you much help here.
