Can't wake up server from specific client computer since upgrade to Windows10 RRS feed

  • Question

  • I have upgraded 4 client computers to Windows 10.

Since the upgrade, my LENOVO is the only one that can wake up my server. Once the server is awake, the 3 others have access to it and maintain it awake. I have re-installed the connector software but it doesn't solve this problem.

Here's the info of the server :

ACER Aspire easy Store H340, running Windows Home server with Power Pack 3 (2009)

    Windows Home Server Console: 6.0.2423.0

I don't want to change the OS of the server since it works with my LENOVO

How can I troubleshoot this problem ?

  • I don't think the connector by itself is capable to wake the Home Server. (Default behavior is that the client wakes up while the server is running already and performs its backup.)

As far as I remember there was always a 3rd party add-on involved - Lights Out (although I am not sure, if this capability was available for the WHS v.1 version).
