My Institution is running counterfeit copies of Windows 7

Question

Hello community!
I recently joined an Institute and found out that almost every computer has a pirated copy of Windows 7. Being myself from the technical domain, I'm strictly against piracy.
So what I'm asking is what I should do to make things right?

It does sound as if they may be non-genuine installs.
You should first approach the System Admin, and see what they have to say/do - then you can report them is necessary to MS at https://www.microsoft.com/en-gb/howtotell/cfr/report.aspx

How do you reckon the 'Institution' is running counterfeit Windows?

1. Those systems have that sticker with the Serial no. for warranty and other stuff which mentions "UBUNTU_LINUX".
2. No certificate of authenticity sticker.
3. No valid product key as the windows on the systems isn't activated.
