  • Whever I try to access IE i get the message-"IE has closed this web page to protect your computer. A malfunctioning or malicious add-on has caused IE to close this web page". Fix it centre cannot detect this add-on. what other action can I take?

  • Hello heysidundeh.

    Try starting Windows in Safe Mode and check the Windows "Application" log to see if there's any record providing detailed informations about the faulting add-on; also try disabling as much IE add-ons as you can to see if the problem persists.
    It could be necessary resetting Internet Explorer (Tools -> Internet Options -> "Advanced" tab -> "Reset..." button) to solve this problem.

  • Many many thanks. Had to perform action several times but finally got IE going again.
