Error "This field cannot be secured" while importing an unmanaged solution RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

I have been given an unmanaged solution by another publisher. While I import the solution it fails with following message in the log file:

    "This field cannot be secured."

I am importing on a Dynamics CRM online.

    Thanks and Regards,

  • I have just checked that the online version has been updated to 2015 and I fear that the solution was imported using Dynamics CRM 2013. Could this be the potential problem?

  • Is there any way to downgrade my trial setup to CRM 2013?

    Thanks Guido!

I understand that most probably we don't have an option to get a new CRM online 2013 instance (either trial or for purchase) but my manager asked me to confirm this here :)

Further, if all the current customers who registered online with 2013 version have automatically been upgraded to 2015? Or they have option to do so?

  • Existing Crm 2013 Online customers will be given a schedule for when they will be upgraded to Crm 2015, which is typically in about 3 months time. However, they will have the option to bring this date forward, or put it back. The administrator(s) should receive an email with the details
