It has been a day since I renewed one care and my computer still says (after a restart) that it is expired. Why? What to do?Thursday, March 20, 2008 4:09 PM

If it has been more than 24 hours, first try this:
Open OneCare, click on Check for Updates.
If that doesn't update the subscription status, then
- Check your PC date and time.
- Check your subscription status by logging in with your subscription LiveID at http://billing.microsoft.com
- Confirm that this is the same LiveID shown to be the Subscription ID in OneCare - Help/About...
If your subscription is correctly shown at the Billing site, but incorrect in OneCare and your PC date and time are correct, please contact support.

Steve, thanks for taking the time to offer your help. It has been several hours more than 24 hours and even with a restart the onecare icon is still red and when I open Onecare it still says the service has expired. I checked for updates a couple of times and it says it is up to date. My PC time and date are correct. When I log in with my liveID it says Onecare is enabled. I couldn't read all of your last suggestion because it was cut off but I have only the one LiveID. Any other ideas? Thanks, Mike R.Friday, March 21, 2008 4:24 AM

I got hold of Tech Support and I ended up uninstalling the original installation of OneCare and installing the new one and everything worked out OK. Thank you again for your help, Steve.Saturday, March 22, 2008 6:04 PM
