  • Hi: I have a question, why does it take a long time to tune-up my computer, it almost took two months now for it to tune-up and its around 50%, im thinking it is because when i open it it doesnt show what percentage it is, so im asking how long does it take for it to tune-up, and why does it take a long time to tune-up. Thank you

  • A Tune-up includes several tasks. One is a Defrag of the local hard drives, and then a full scan for viruses and spyware. Typically, I would expect a Tune-up on an average drive of 200 gigs to take about 2 hours or so to complete.
It can take longer if you have many compressed files on the drive or a larger drive or drives in your PC. It can also take less. If the scan for viruses is running extremely slowly, this can also be an inidication of a conflict with other security software on the PC.
