Any way to insert a Spoiler or a Show/Hide Button? Or maybe attach a txt file?

    Question

  • I'd like to add a long quotation of error messages to a post, but it's too long for visible text.

Is there any way to insert it as a "Spoiler" or a "Show/Hide Button" that doesn't show the long text unless the reader clicks?

I ask because I don't see any way to add attachments (like .txt files) to this forum.

    Thanks.

► At home, Dell Optiplex 7010 with 16GB RAM dual-booting Win 7 Pro 64-bit (now with Office 365 Home) and Win 10 Pro 64-bit.
► Also still have Dell Optiplex 755 with 4GB RAM with Win XP Pro SP3 (which still gets updates with the POS hack) and Office 2003.

  • There isn't any way to do that or add attachments. You can make suggests for improvements over here.

  • Dave and Mike - With respect, thanks for the info, but there's no "answer" here.  The lack of this feature is just a deficiency compared to other forums.

As you're both strongly involved in this forum, why don't you add the feature?

Because we don't work for MSFT.

EDIT: I also fail to see how Dave's answer isn't an answer. There is no such feature, nor can you add attachments. Thus your only avenue is to request said features to be added to the platform.

We just moderate here. That would be up to forums application design and engineering. You can make the suggestion over here.
