BSOD when connecting to NAS Drive

Question
-
I have a Dell Vostro 400 running XP Pro with Service Pack 3 installed.
I have recently been getting a BSOD every time I connect to a NAS Drive.
The stop code is 00000035 No_More_IRP_Stack_Locations
Microsoft Help suggests there is a hotfix available but this is superceeded by SP3 which I have. Also running AV and AMalware programs don't show anything sinister. Device Manager doesn't show any problems.
I thought the problem was related to installing VMWare Player (because it seems to happen just after that) but after removing that and running the VMWare cleanup utility, the problem is still there.
So I can start up and run fine, until I switch on my NAS Drive and connect to it. Then the machine goes bang. Switch off the NAS and reboot and all is well again.
All ideas appreciated.
Thanks in advance.
