sharing of Printer/Files oner LAN

Question
-
In Windows XP, If i wanted to share my drive or printer, i would simply tick "share" and it was enough.
In windows 7,8 or 10 it has been headache for years for me to share my drive or Printer over LAN. i have check the share option but it is still not showing on other PCs on LAN.
I tried Microsoft Phone support, but they were also unable to help as well.
Can anybody from microsoft help ??

Hello,
The Windows Desktop Perfmon and Diagnostic tools forum is to discuss performance monitor (perfmon), resource monitor (resmon), and task manager, focusing on HOW-TO, Errors/Problems, and usage scenarios.
As the question is off topic here, I am moving it to the Where is the Forum... forum.Karl
