I would like to start on a certification path but cannot decide between the 2003 path or 2008. In my current position, I work for a small organization with only 9 servers and 2 IT people. Most of these servers are 2003 but a few are
still 2000 and we are in the process of upgrading. I would like to upgrade our last 2 servers (one a file server, one a domain controller) to 2008.
I would also like to move to a job where I am working in a larger environment, with more current technology. Many of the jobs I see are wanting 2003 experience/certification. I guess my question is how valuable is 2008 certification
and 2003 experience in a 2003 environment, if that makes sense.
Any advice on how any of you would proceed, with either 2003 or 2008 cert, would be helpful. Right now I am leaning towards 2008.
