  • Question

  • I have spent hours and called customer support at least five times since I bought one care. The first one I bought they showed it as a trial even though I put the key of the program I bought, seems like that would prove I bought it.Now im trying to put a new program that I bought .Couldnt get anywhere so I went to this forum and read Stephan Boots solution which says"open onecare and click help/about to view the subscription live ID",however when I followed this I never found this phrase anywhere so for this idiot who has loaded every kind of software for virus protection ,video editing for the past ten years please Steven elaborate or show me something that works before my subscription expires.Thankyou in advance for any help you can give on this subject.Roberto

  • Roberto, go to http://billing.microsoft.com and sign in with your subscription ID. Select the OneCare subscription and then click renew. Select the option to renew with a PIN, Token, or retail key. Your copy will then reflect the new subscription status in 24 hours as long as it is less than 30 days until expiration.

If you don't see a OneCare subscription on the Billing site, you've got the wrong LiveID. If you don't recall the LiveID for your subscription, you have two choices. Contact support to determine the LiveID for your subscription to renew or wait until OneCare expires and then uninstall and reinstall, creating a new subscription and activating with a new LiveID.

  • Hello Roberto, I'm not really sure if you are trying to activate One Care or renew your subscription.

  • OK,since my last subscription went so bad and,had diffuculties all year,I went and bought a new program from a store.I read stephan Boots words on how to install a new program but it keeps telling me I have the product key,Whats the secret to putting in a new store bought program before my old one expires instead of updating, since my old Id and password has been a complete cluster.I couldnt follow mr Boots explanation on how to do this or maybe my computer is different than his. Thanks if you have any ideas that work,or maybe I need to wait untill my program expires. Thanks for the info on this program.
