Set up Meeting Calendar in MSPS 2010 RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi, I was wondering if anyone knows if I can set up a meeting calendar in Server 2010. I was hoping I could create a meeting or event in the project site and assign attendees and then it would block out their project calendar so that if they are assigned a task for 1 day and 1 hour of that day is the meeting I have scheduled.

    Any help much appricated!

    Thanks!

Click the Calendar link in the Quick Launch menu of the Project Site and then click the New Event button on the Events ribbon at the top of the page.  You can set up the meeting to occur once, or you can make it a recurring meeting for as many meetings as you want to schedule.

On the other hand, the calendar events you create in the Project Site DO NOT block out time on your resource??s calendars in the Enterprise Resource Pool, nor do they block out time on your resource??s Outlook calendars.  The only way to make that happen would be through custom software development.  Hope this helps.

  • Hi,

As Dale already answered that you cannot use project site calendar option to reflect in resource calendar. i would suggest to schedule this using your project schedule. create it as a task for your project resource, and assign resource to this task. it would help you keep track of your resource engagements in details as well.

    hope this helps.
