Dialog restriction RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello all,

I would like to restrain a dialog for some users.

I tried by chossing the people allowed to run it with Actions --> Share but it doesn't change anything, anybody is still able to use it.

I'm therefore looking for a solution - whithout coding if possible.

    Thank you

    Sylvain

  • I can think of two possible options:

    • You could try removing (or reducing the level) of the Append To privilege on the Process entity. This privilege is required to run a workflow. You could then Share the Append To privilege back to the appropriate users, though you'd have to do this for all on-demand workflows and dialogs a user might run
    • You could remove the Run Dialog command from the ribbon, and replace it with a custom button that launches the dialog via rundialog.aspx. You can apply rules on the custom button to determine who can see the button
