email sender - does crm always auto-create as a contact? RRS feed

  • Hello - I've seen behavior in CRM where, if an email address is included as to/cc on an email that is not associated with a user or a contact, then CRM displays a red question mark next to the email address in the email.

    I'm assuming that CRM always creates a contact for the sender of received emails, if the sender doesn't already exist as a contact in the system.  Can you please confirm if my understanding of this behavior is correct?

  • No, CRM doesn't creates a contact record always, we can configure lead or contact on personal settings in CRM.
