Answers

  • Hi,

the problem has been resolved by doing the following Steps on the client machine.

    1. Run CMD
    2. type "ipconfig /flushdns" then Enter
    3. type "ipconfig /release" then Enter
    4. type "ipconfig /renew" then Enter

After that, run CRM outlook Client Configuration again, this time the error does not appear anymore.

Thanks for the help. Much appreciated. :)

  • Andrew,

Did you apply update rollup 9 to both CRM Server and CRM Client? Try using http://<ipaddress>:5555 instead of the Computer Name.

  • Hi Andrew,

Using http://crm:5555 can you connect to MS CRM via the browser? If so then re run the client setup or try to use the diagnostic tool on the client.

  • Hi,

Thanks for the reply, I updated both Rollup 9 to CRM server and the Client, and I even tried using IP address. but none of them work.

    Environment updates.

         1. CRM server and Client seats on different network segment in the same subnet mask

         2. There is a backbone firewall in the network that controls ports restrictions.

I am able to access the CRM site via Internet Explorer on the client computer, but couldn't get it configure in CRM Outlook Client.
