Hello sincerelykristen,
Right now your Compaq computer has a nongenuine installation of Windows XP Pro on it. This installation was done with a widely pirated and now regionally blocked Product Key.
The good news is your Office installation is showing as a Genuine retail licensed installation :-)
Does your Compaq have a Certificate of Authenticity (CoA) affixed to the computer? If so, let us know what version and edition of Windows is listed on it, please verify that it has HP or HPQ on it, but don't post the product key printed on it.

Where would I find the Certificate of Authenticity? There are two stickers on top of the Compaq, one with the product key and another from Hewlett Packard with two codes.Thursday, July 22, 2010 7:58 PM
