Creating a node with all components installed

Question
-
I have been able to have my HPC head node create a compute node with an OS using the bare metal install option. I'm still trying to figure out though, how do I set this up to install the OS and then any components that should be on the node?
Thanks!

Hi,
You can customize you Node Template, so you can have any command passed during the instalation process
Follow : Confoguration-> Node Templates -> (select your node template), then chose Add Task button -> Maintenance -> Post Install Command
For your existing node, pass the same command by selecting your existing node and right click then chose Run Command
Best regards,

Hi STom,
Besides customizing your node template, in HPC Pack 2008 R2 (V3) you also have the option of customizing a compute node then capturing that image for future deployments.
For more information, see http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ff919443(WS.10).aspx for modifying deployment templates and http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ff919329(WS.10).aspx for more information about capturing images from a pre-configured compute node.
