Iron Python console RRS feed

  • Question

  • What does ">>>" mean in the IronPython console? And for that matter, can anyone point me to a decent link on the web that would "primer" me on this tool?

I am trying to run the harness.py file from the IronPython command prompt. The file is found in this MSDN MAG written by James McCaffrey titled Request-Response Testing using IronPython.

    How do you change directories?

BTW, I cannot edit my own PATH variable, I am locked down by an admin, that is why I am not running it from CMD-PROMPT.

  • Hi Danny,

Unfortunately, this issue is "off-topic". About Iron Python is a open source 3rd language. This is out of our support.

  • Okay, I found a good link that straightened me out what 'mode' the >>> signifies. Here is the link https://docs.python.org/2/tutorial/interpreter.html

So my next question is can I run a script in a specific directory in interactive mode?
