Annoying MS Paint eraser tool glitch

Question
-
For some reason, there's this annoying glitch I'm having with Microsoft Paint. Sometimes when I try to re-color or erase something by right-clicking whilst using the eraser tool in a saved MS Paint picture, it always just erases the newly filled colors so if I attempt to try and erase the colors without any modifications, it refuses to do that even though I am clearly holding down the right mouse button. Restarting my ASUS computer sadly does not fix this glitch. Is there any way to fix this?

Hi Aty Leana,
I want to check if I can reproduce your issue.
Which Windows are you using? Windows 10, 8.1, 7, or Vista?

@Ashidacchi I'm using a Windows 10 ASUS computer right now (it's not mine but I treat it like it's mine because it didn't came from with ASUS splendid, but it still has the slightly yellow tinted screen). I'm not sure if it's the computer mice that's causing this problem, or the computer itself.

Hi Aty Leana,
(1) If your mouse is via USB, please try to switch / change connection to other USB ports.(2) Have you replaced / changed the current mouse with other mouse?
(3) How about using touch-pad, instead of mouse?
(4) Please provide Windows version and build number.
You can see them by right-click [Start] > input "winver" in Run.

@Ashidacchi I'm currently using a mouse which doesn't randomly deselect and then select. This also seemed to happen with my mouse that randomly deselects and then selects on a saved picture which resulted into a file that couldn't be imported to MS Paint, so I had no choice but to delete that picture. However when I try to re-color or erase something by right clicking a thing I already added in a saved picture, it refuses but the file can still be imported to MS Paint, it just has this weird and annoying glitch. Maybe it's the computer's Windows version or the computer itself?

Hi,
Don't you forget answering my questions?

@Ashidacchi Yeah. I don't even want to bother using a touchpad even though I treat this ASUS like it's my computer. Apologies.Tuesday, April 18, 2017 7:29 AM

Hi Aty Leana,
I don't know what kind of picture you want to draw. But there exist many drawing software (many freeware), so will you try other one, instead of MS Paint?

Hi Aty Leana,
I draw any kind of picture I want when I feel like I want to draw something in MS Paint (and sometimes save my work if I feel like I want to complete it later). I am getting used to only drawing pictures with FireAlpaca right now.

Hi Aty Leana,
I've installed and execute "FireAlpace". It might provide more features than MS Paint, and we could use it with ease.
I'm using "paint.net" for over ten years. It is good as FireAlpaca, or better than FireAlpaca, for its features can be enhanced by many AddIns.
Good luck!

Hey, it's me, Aty Leana. I just found out that even if you try to "update" Paint to the recent version using downloadastro, this glitch still happens.
This glitch happens if you modify an image you saved, then you save it again and then try to erase it using right click.
