Required Automatic Resart After Program Update - BAD RRS feed

  • General discussion

  • We have OneCare on multiple computers on a business network.  After the last program update, the computer

will restart within a certain time frame.  If not during normal business hours, the computers reboot, losing information

in open programs and causing havoc with the network.  Please consider having the automatic restart be an optional setting.  Thanks

  • Thanks for the feedback. I've asked for this many times and hopefully, with enough feedback, we'll get the developers to change the behavior of these upgrades that need a reboot.

  • What's up with the new update? I received a pop up from WOC stating it just added an update and will reboot in 5 hours. It asked if I wanted to reboot now and I clicked yes. After reboot I get a warning that something crashed WOC and that I'd be notified when there is a solution. This is getting old. First it was the expiration mess around Christmas and now this. I've been using WOC since the first beta and have been happy since it involved very little interaction but now it's getting just as bad as NAV. What do I have to do to fix this problem? Thanks in advance Steve.

  • Just a follow up. I rebooted and WOC will go green for a few seconds and then I got a warning to uninstall AdAware. I uninstalled AdAware and rebooted and WOC went to green for a few seconds and then a pop up warning telling me that WOC shut down.
