  • Hello Cumie,

Looks like you have two issue occring at the same time.

    1) It appears that Vista's Licensing Store may be corrupt or it's data is messed up in some way. Try the below steps the recreate the Store:

    1) Open an Internet Browser window.
    2) Type: %windir%\system32 into the browser address bar.
    3) Find the file CMD.exe
    4) Right-Click on CMD.exe and select 'Run as Administrator'
    5) Type: net stop slsvc  (it may ask you if you are sure, select yes)
    6) Type: cd %windir%\ServiceProfiles\NetworkService\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\SoftwareLicensing
    7) Type: rename tokens.dat tokens.bar
    8) Type: cd %windir%\system32
    9) Type: net start slsvc
    10) Type: cscript slmgr.vbs -rilc (It may take a long time for this to complete, please be patient)
    11) Restart your computer twice.
    12) You may be required to enter the Product Key and/or Activate. (be sure to use the Product Key found on the side or bottom of the pc and to Activate by Phone).

    2) "Build lab: 6002.lh_sp2beta.081017-1605"

You currently have the Beta version of Service Pack 2 installed.  The Beta version will be expiring very soon and you should already be seeing an 'expiring' notice on your desktop. The resolution to this is to uninstall the Beta Service Pack 2 and then (if you want) install the Release version of Service Pack 2.

If you have any problems with uninstalling the beta service pack, please see the Service Pack support page at http://support.microsoft.com/ph/11732#tab1.  If the information on the page doesn't help, click the link on the right side under "Get Help Now" The link will take you to Live Support. My understanding is that Service Pack issues are supported at no cost.

    Thank you,
