why does it say I cannot pictures?

  • I am trying to post a picture and it is saying that I need to "

    • Body text cannot contain images or links until we are able to verify your account.

    before I can.

    My account is authenticated and I've been using it for a while. 

    I have a question that I need to ask and it is not allowing me. I really need to find the answer to my question.

  • Yep, in an effort to fight spam, they don't let new accounts post pictures. After a few posts, you'll get the option for pictures. I'm sure they have details in an FAQ somewhere around here..

    I suspect they consider the level of activity:

    So, an account with no activity until 2 hours ago, is considered "new" as far as posting privileges are concerned. Again, a speculation on my part, I suggest digging out the forum rules.

  • AFAIK, user accounts are automatically trusted after 15 points. I don't believe post count actually has anything to do with it, but I'm just not sure about that.

    Either way, this is just my standard text in these threads, so this can just be ignored.
