Hi sorry to bother you, but really need some help. I was coerced into using One Care by a friend of ours who helps with our pc work occasionally. Okay I was happy with the service and really enjoyed the back up feature. Unfortunately as with everyone else,
my subscription ended and no longer have access to it. The problem is, when my subscrition ended ONE CARE support told me don't worry you can still access your One Care backup on your external drive at any time. Talked to my friend about this and he said no
problem I will deal with it, just bring it over. After returning it to me, I found over 1800zip files that need to be opened and when I do, they do not match and they seem to be in random order. So I was thinking that if I could get a copy of One Care loaded
back on my computer, even if it is not working, I would be able to put my files back the right way. Then I found your forum and read about the restore tool for this purpose. I tried several downloads, uninstall and reinstalls and keep getting the same message
when I try to run the Live One Care restore tool. Message follows:
Windows Live One Care Restore Tool
Restore Cannot continue. Please restart your machine and try again. If the problem continue to persist, contact support.
Please help there is valuable business and family files I really needed to access. Thank you for your kind consideration of this matter and any help you might give. Chris
