I first purchased a xbox 360 in Feb. 2006 for my husband, who was returning home from Iraq. We had the xbox for a few months and then it started freezing up and then we had the red light issue, so we called and sent it in for repair. We then relocated to another state and when we got there and started using the replacement xbox we had the red lights issue again. This time when I called customer support they told me there was nothing they could do because it was out of warranty, so my husband and I actually bought another xbox (dumbest thing we have ever done)! The Marine Corps then relocated us again and after a few months at our new duty station we had the red light issue yet again!!! I called support, sent our xbox in, and received another xbox in the mail (this was in Sep. 2007). Now it is Jan. 2008 and we again have the red light issue!!! I called support and asked if there was any way I could get I new xbox to replace the one I am sending in because we keep getting refurbished ones and they don't work, they said no. I wish I would have returned the first xbox to the store and got my money back! My husband and I make sure to let all the Marines stationed here know not to buy an xbox, and some of the wives and my self are starting a web page on the military wives site warning against waisting your money.
