Synctoy 2.0.200 problem with 'Echo' sync RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi all.

I d/l'd and installed SyncToy 2.0, no problem.  I have 2 hard drives I want to sync.  Drive E: contains about 100Gb files in several directories.  I want drive E: to sync with drive F: (blank, formatted), using the echo option, the other options left at default.  When I ran the preview request, it only copied about 60% of the target files to the destination drive, citing the following:
"Avoided copying xxxxx amount of bytes in xxx files."

Is this a bug with version 2.0 Synctoy?

  • Hi Bjoern,
it seems you installed synctoy 2.0 and use a pre-created folder pairs to run this sync.
Could you create a new folder pairs with the same left and right folder, have a try again.

BTW, as we have released SyncToy 2.1, which fixed a few known issues in v2.0, I suggest you download and install 2.1.

    Thanks,
