    hi! never done this Smile lets see how i go...

     

     

    i have an outdated version of norton ( 2004 ) now although it is outdated it still has som protection?

    ( i am unable to reinstall norton )

    windows one care wants me to remove all virus protection.. now what happens when the trial is over?

     

    i have newly accquired ( lol ) a virus that pretends to be a virus protection  ( antivirus 2009 )

    will one care remove this virus?

  • Since you are currently running an older version of Norton and have been infected, contact Norton for help with removal of this threat. In order to install OneCare, you will need to remove the Norton product. And, yes, the OenCare trial will expire and you will have to remove it if you choose not to susbcribe.

    I can't tell you if OneCare can successfully remove this threat as it is one of many variants that keep getting updated by the malware author.

    I do not recommend removing Norton to install the trial of OneCare while you are already infected.
