reinstall problems RRS feed

    Hello, I purchased One Care on my computer in Feb. 2007. Now that it is asking me to reinstall it I have encountered many problems. I have a feeling the problem may lie in the sign in page as I have no idea what I would have used. Can someone please help me to get this program reinstalled? I have been working on trying to get this accomplished now for 3 days and have become very frusterated.

  • "Asking me to reinstall..." I'm not sure that this means, but that isn't important as you apparently have reinstalled and you are now trying to activate after the reinstall. I assume that you also renewed your subscription on February of this year.


    If you have an active subscription, which is what was created when you activated originally, you need to use the same LiveID on the subsequent activations. If you are arriving at a screen to purchase or provide a token, you are likely not using the same LiveID as the subscription ID.


    If you don't recall the LiveID you used for your subscription, you will need to contact support who can provide that information to you using your Key and/or contact information.

    Alternatively, sign in at http://billing.microsoft.com with email addresses that you have set up as LiveIDs and one will show your subscription listed - that would the LiveID to use to activate with.
