Dynamics Web Service authority issues after user deletion RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi all,

We've got a setup where a website talks to our client's CRM Online installation via the Organization.svc service and this has all been working fine for the last couple of years.

The client has recently deleted the user that had been used to connect to the service and this obviously caused the link to stop working.  They have sent us a new username and password to use and this user appears to be an Administrator that we can login to Dynamics with, but the connection no longer works using this login.

When we execute our first query we get an "Authentication Failure" message

I'm now a bit stuck as to what to look at next. I've tried registering a different deviceID to see if that works, but I still get the same error.

    Details:
    Service called = https://xxx.crm4.dynamics.com/XRMServices/2011/Organization.svc

Actual Error = An unsecured or incorrectly secured fault was received from the other party. See the inner FaultException for the fault code and detail.
