Did you try to use Microsoft Fix it Center to fix this issue?
1. Open Microsoft Fix it Center and click "Run" button for "Aero"
2. Click "Continue" in User Account Control (You must have administrator privilege)
3. Click Automatically Detect problem and apply the fixes for me
4. Click through the wizard.
To check if Desktop Window Manager is enable
1. Click the Start in the bottom left-hand corner of your screen.
2. Type in: "Services.msc" (without the quotes) into the Start Search textbox.
3. Click "Continue" in User Account Control (UAC)
4. Scroll down until you locate the entry that is labeled: “Desktop Window Manager Session Manager”
5. Right-click on thie service. Select Properties.
6. Look for Service status: Started in the General tab of the Properties.
