Installation of Active X control RRS feed

  • Question

  • I need to instal Active X on my computer, but I can't seem to get it. I tried going to the Diagnostics Center and these are my results:

    Microsoft Genuine Advantage Diagnostic Results

    Passed Active scripting allowed
    Passed Display images enabled
Passed Computer time and date correct
    Passed Cookies enabled
    Passed ActiveX enabled
    Failed Windows validation ActiveX loaded
    Failed Office validation ActiveX loaded
    Failed Validation Self-help ActiveX loaded

When I click the option to resolve the issue, I get taken through a series of pop of windows to allow the add on to install on my computer. The last window is one saying that the security code (or something similar to code) isn't valid. My only option is to close the window; there's no way to bypass it. I'm running as an administrator, so I don't understand why I can't just make it do what I want it to!

I'm running on Vista 64 bit, if that helps with diagnostics.
